Day 11 of my 30 paintings in 30 days of November.
I tried out some different paper today, a cold-pressed watercolor paper, stretched and with my usual primers. The paper took the primers very well, though the texture of the paper was still dominant over the brush-strokes of the primers. Overall I prefer a smoother surface for the primers, but the pebbly texture of this paper worked very well for this little lamb!
This experimentation was prompted by some great news that I'll share tomorrow!
