In another fortuitous wander around Fredericksburg in early March, I came across the most beautiful herd of pure white horned sheep. I don't know the breed, but they sure are lovely!

Finally! I caught some new photos last month of a herd of the adorable "Oreo" cows, otherwise known as Belted Galloways. I called this one Frodo because he's short, curly, and wears a ring.

The white calves are always the most luminous with reflected light! So many colors bouncing around in this one.

This wooly ewe was one of a herd I caught some pics of last month near Fredericksburg. I had a great weekend driving around looking for reference material in between plein air painting stops.

Warm Fuzzy #12 - Cutie

Warm Fuzzy #12 - "Cutie" (pastel, 6x6 inches) click here to bid or buy

This cutie is another baby bun from Fry's Fun Farm last summer. I ran into a background issue but I'm very happy with how it came out in the end!

Nah... this background is too light!...

So I washed in some watered down terra cotta Art Spectrum primer...

...which sets off the "party" colors perfectly!
