"Prince of Thieves"
"Prince of Thieves" (pastel, 8x6in.) click here to inquire
Such a noble face for such an ignoble profession; I knew he must have been a prince among thieves.
Thank you! When I took the photo that I used for this painting, he was standing in front of a bright yellow tent, and there was something about that color affecting his skin tone and clothing that I really liked. I think it hints at the richness of gold and precious metals that is so at odds with his plain clothing; that also helped me with the title!
I like the way you used almost one color with a variation of dark and light, the just a hint of red.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely piece of art, the color composition is perfect. May I ask who is the model?
ReplyDeleteThanks Nugraha,
ReplyDeleteThis young man was an employee at Texas Renaissance Festival last year.
He does not look like he can be trusted.
