Sunbathing

"Sunbathing"  (pastel, 8x15 inches)  $475 framed

Here's the same white calf from "Ivory Light," catching some morning rays!

This painting was approached in the same method, using the gold and the terra cotta pastel primers, and layering up the gold (semi-transparent) primer to create a kind of value study underpainting.

  4. Love the glow of the light on this one Rita. Also thank you for sharing the progress of the painting. I'm going to run out and get me some pastel primer! I use pastels but haven't done a underpainting yet. I've looked at so many different ways that they can be done. But by far yours have the glow in your paintings that I would love to achieve in mine.
