Doesn't she look like a great duster? Just let her loose for a while to roll around on the floor and slide across the tabletops.

Below are progress shots, showing how I dealt with a couple of poor decisions and fixed them...

The photo and the primer underpainting with the first darks

This background was NOT working

...so I wiped it off with a wet rag. 
Love that acrylic primer!

Now I don't like so much gray 
shadow by the eye.

So I wiped it off!

This works better. 

Back at my computer, I noticed that I didn't care for the uneven shape of the fluff on the right side, so I delved into my small spare box of pastels that I keep on a top shelf above my desk and fluffed out her right cheek! (See the finished painting at the top..)
