Opal

Doing caricatures at the Blanco (TX) Lavender Festival this weekend. The weather is cooperating with slightly cooler temperatures (only the mid-90’s!) so I’m getting a few little paintings done in between caricatures.

This is a sheep I’ve named Opal for her colorful white shadows, who lives somewhere on the way to Fredericksburg.

Sumac

Sumac is named for a red spice, since I've already used Paprika, Chili, Saffron, Cayenne, and Annatto. Serendipitously, this Hereford cow has precisely the dark purple-red coat color of Sumac.

Another little white-tailed fawn. This one was from a wildlife ranch somewhere on my travels. She doesn't quite have the family look from the deer in our neighborhood.
