Thought it was time for another bunny, so I included her in my practice demo..

I'll have Trixie and the others (unframed) with me at my IAPS pastel workshop on Wednesday, June 5.

Viola

So I did another little batch of four paintings to practice some more for my demo at IAPS, "An Assembly Line Approach to Daily Painting". Got my time down a little bit, and I'm fairly confident I'll be able to put on a good show! I'll schedule to post these new little ones in the next few days as I travel to Albuquerque and settle in for the week of pastel fun.

By the way, there's still more room in my demo on Friday, and one space has opened up in my Wednesday workshop, if you're not already registered for the convention, you can sign up in person at the Hotel Albuquerque on June 5.

Zuzu

This adorable young pygmy goat was one of my practice demos this week, in preparation for the IAPS Pastel Convention one short week away!

Zuzu was going to be with me at the Texas Masters Invitational Fine Art Show and Sale, this weekend, May 24-26 at the Y.O. Ranch Hotel, Kerrville, Texas, except my friend who's goat this is has already bought her! Yay!

The third of my practice demo this week -- getting ready for the IAPS Pastel Convention, where I'll be demoing my assembly-line approach to daily painting. I enjoyed this one, and it didn't take me as long as I thought it might!

I sold my last bison painting, so it was time for another! This young fella had a rich brown coat and a devilish look in his eye.

Shadowfire is with me at the Texas Masters Invitational Fine Art Show and Sale, this weekend, May 24-26 at the Y.O. Ranch Hotel, Kerrville, Texas. Stop in and stay a while in the air conditioned comfort of the Y.O. Ranch Hotel ballrooms.

Join us for a reception tomorrow, Friday, May 24, from 2 until 4 pm.

Then head down to Water Street and enjoy the Kerrville Festival of the Arts, going on this weekend too!

I added my gold layers with a fat bristle brush, for extra texture!

Here's the first of the four little paintings I did today to finish off a practice-run for my IAPS demo coming up in 2 weeks! I really need to paint fast more often; I like the freshness!

This little Longhorn calf will be at the Texas Masters Invitational Fine Art Show & Sale, next weekend, May 24-26 at the Y.O. Ranch Hotel, Kerrville, Texas.
