Peacock Profile

"Peacock Profile" (pastel, 7x5 inches)

Painting 11 of my 21-in-31 in March!

The second peacock choice for my friend. She's going to pick this or Wednesday's Peacock, and then the other will be available!

I got too distracted for progress shots, but there's the under-painting:

And how she will look framed...

Peacock

"Peacock" (pastel, 7x5 inches)

Painting 9 of my 21-in-31 in March! (Read about my goal this month on Lady Coco's post!)

This is a commission for the daughter of a friend. She won't get to see it yet because as I write this Facebook is not quite recovered from their little downtime, and our conversation was on Messenger. Oh well, I'm still using this as today's post!

You, my blog subscriber, might get to see this first!

Here are some progress shots, and a little video closeup...

Profile of a Peacock

"Profile of a Peacock" (pastel, 12x6 inches) click here to bid or buy

All right, I managed to get one more sunlit animal painting in before the barrage of portrait orders buries me by Christmas.

Speaking of which, I'd like to mention I'll be back at the Showcase of Arts and Crafts, a fine craft show at Rolling Oaks Mall in San Antonio, Texas, From Dec 7 through Christmas Eve, drawing portraits and caricatures from life and from client photos. There's still time to get your order in for Christmas, but don't wait!

Come by the mall (upstairs near the food court) and see me, or order online at RitaKirkmanDrawings.com.

Day 26 of my 30-paintings-in-30-days of November.

This curious gal was roaming the cafe patio at a zoo, hunting for handouts. Then the sun came out and so did my camera!
