Here's a little "Baby Bunny" for your enjoyment!

You might notice I used some black Art Spectrum primer over my usual gold and terra cotta on the underpainting, to get a good base tone for this black bunnyling. I did smudge some T.L. Eggplant and black pastel in there first, just to demonstrate an alternative.

I also decided to continue the little confetti-like strokes into the background to echo  the texture of bunny fur. :)

Day 2 of my 30-in-30 paintings for June! I did have this one underpainted already, but that's ok. I'm catching up with a few "leftover" paintings that are laying around my studio before starting in on a new batch of underpaintings ... maybe I'll do underpaintings for my next Virtual Open Studio day on Friday...

Another baby bun from ... yes... Fry's Fun Farm! Luckily I caught plenty of good pics last July and am still harvesting some from my files. I hope all of Fry's warm fuzzies are getting plenty of love and petting from the owners while they're not able to tour any events.

 

 Here, the background got just a bit overworked, and I noticed that he seemed to be leaning a bit to the left..

...so I wiped off the background there and reapplied with fresher stokes, and added a bit more fuzz to his right rear leg to give him more stability.

This cutie is another baby bun from Fry's Fun Farm last summer. I ran into a background issue but I'm very happy with how it came out in the end!

 Nah... this background is too light!...

So I washed in some watered down terra cotta Art Spectrum primer...

...which sets off the "party" colors perfectly!

Chester's color reminded me of a blackberry. The Chester Thornless is an extra sweet and large variety of blackberry. No thorns on this Chester either!
