Star of the "Baby Bunny" Paint-Along!

"Baby Bunny" (pastel, 8x6 inches) bid or buy

Here's a little "Baby Bunny" for your enjoyment!

You might notice I used some black Art Spectrum primer over my usual gold and terra cotta on the underpainting, to get a good base tone for this black bunnyling. I did smudge some T.L. Eggplant and black pastel in there first, just to demonstrate an alternative.

I also decided to continue the little confetti-like strokes into the background to echo  the texture of bunny fur. :)

Muses and Buddies on my Patreon can watch and paint along to the full length Baby Bunny Paint-Along video of Episode 119!

Easter Bunny (Warm Fuzzy #72)

Warm Fuzzy #72 - "Easter Bunny" (pastel, 8x6 inches) available unframed for a limited time

The star of my April Paint-Along! I had painted this bunny a few years ago (Bunnyboo) She was always one of my favorites, and I like how she came out this time too! Less dramatic, but somehow sweeter.

See some progress pics from the video on this public Patreon post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/50089755

This was my best attended Paint-Along yet! Here's a compiled screen shot of all the participants who painted along (and showed off their results.)

And here's the few who sent theirs to me afterwards, for better clarity! What fun!

Pie (Warm Fuzzy #63)

Warm Fuzzy #63 - "Pie" (pastel, 6x4 inches) $265 + shipping

Short for Piebald, which I learned today is what the completely black and white horses are called. In fact Google found a photo of one that looked almost just like this one! I can't remember where exactly I caught photos of this horse, but I was sure struck by her unusual beauty!

Pie will be a part of my Solo Exhibition, Kindred Spirits, at the ARTS for Rural Texas in Fayetteville, March 27 - May 29, 2021. Opening Reception March 27, 5-7pm.

See some progress pics of Pie on this post!

Little Bunny (Warm Fuzzy #59)

Warm Fuzzy #59 - "Little Bunny" (pastel, 6x4 inches)

On my last Virtual Open Studio day, I was just not in the mood to paint, so when that happens I tend to go SMALL! I had some underpaintings from a recent batch all prepared, and chose a couple of them to pastel that day. This Little Bunny was the first one.

(And ok I think I've officially run out of white bunny names, lol!)

I'll be adding Little Bunny to my inventory for my Solo Exhibition Kindred Spirits, at the ARTS for Rural Texas in Fayetteville, March 27 - May 29, 2021. Opening Reception March 27, 5-7pm.

Warm Fuzzy #45 - Asa

This whiteface calf had such a noble pose and elegant look about her. She fit so well perfectly centered in a 6x6, and I decided to make the background dark to better set off the glowing white of her face.

For a $10 pledge, you can watch the full-length video of the creation of Asa on my Patreon page here!

Warm Fuzzy #12 - Cutie

Warm Fuzzy #12 - "Cutie" (pastel, 6x6 inches) click here to bid or buy

This cutie is another baby bun from Fry's Fun Farm last summer. I ran into a background issue but I'm very happy with how it came out in the end!

Nah... this background is too light!...

So I washed in some watered down terra cotta Art Spectrum primer...

...which sets off the "party" colors perfectly!
