Day 7 of 30 paintings - "Hank, Honey, Louie, Butters and Poppy, in the Lavender" (conte and pastel pencil, 10x30 inches) sold
I'm counting this among my 30 paintings/drawings of June, because I did finish it in June, it hasn't been posted before, and darn it, it's hard to paint every day and I need the post!
This was from separate photos of my client's daughter's animals and she also has a lavender farm. My client originally asked about pastel, but from photos that have such varied and ambient light, I prefer to stick to black & white drawings. So I will actually down-grade a recommendation to a lower-priced product if I feel that all of the references will not translate well to pastel.
